Lachdanan Aventail
Veil Of Steel

I was once Lachdanan
I served a good king
Leoric was his name
And great was his fame

Under his banner I fought
Thus was my honour bought
By sword and valour in crusade

For love of Tristram by the glade

But a curse was laid upon us
And souls of men fell in shadow
Enchanted by fey arcane desires
Death and fire came upon the shire

I fought to prevail
Sought aid to no avail
I too succumbed to the devilry
My liege driven to ague and madness

I hide behind the veil of skin
That was once a hero's face
But now a mask of pallid disgrace
And continue to stalk the shadows

Seeking golden salvation or an end...
I now lay my blade to wait.

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Speak the truth, always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong. That is your oath.
